When Terry shows up in Shelby Springs, a quaint Southern town, he’s on a mission to save his cousin Mike from a possible prison sentence. But right off the bat, the local cops grab him and treat him like trash. They take his backpack, which has $36,000 inside, claiming it’s “civil asset forfeiture.” Feeling defeated but not ready to quit, Terry goes back to the town and seeks out Chief Sandy to get his cash back. He runs into some people who think they have the upper hand, but with court clerk Summer’s help, he finds someone who knows about the corruption in the town. Together, they dive into uncovering the dirty secrets of the police department.
