Will joins the police force after relocating to a small town. When he first arrives, he is sent to work with Terry, who contrasts sharply with Will's more introverted demeanour. When Will unintentionally commits a murder on his first day, Terry and he decide to start a cover-up. Will confides in his wife despite their agreement to keep quiet.
