The Hargreeves siblings are still alive in the fourth season, although they no longer possess their talents. After Allison hit the reset button at the end of the previous season, they found themselves in a different timeline. The first episode demonstrates the siblings' adjustment to their new situation. Luther has moved into the old, deserted Hargreeves mansion and adopted the persona of an exotic dancer. Viktor owns a pub, Diego and Lila are now married with three children, and Allison is having difficulties as a fledgling actress. Soon after, the season picks back up with its thrilling premise of hatching plans to avert the end of the world.
