The Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, has reacted to the current cash shortage and low distribution of the newly redesigned Naira notes in the country, accusing the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, Godwin Emeifiele, of being behind it to cause confusion in the forthcoming general elections.

Ganduje disclosed this on Sunday at a campaign rally held at Tsanyawa, on Sunday, where he presented the APC governorship candidate, running mate and senatorial candidates, among others to the people.

In a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Abba Anwar, he further stated that the timing of the newly redesigned notes and the deadline for phasing out the old notes is wrong.
